Day 1: Alice Springs to Kings Creek
Departing Alice Springs, we head west travelling on the Red Centre Way, through red desert country. Our first stop this morning is at Wallace Rockhole Aboriginal Community. It’s here you’ll have your first taste of the spirit of the outback. You’ll be joined by local residents from the community for a tour of the ancient rock art of the Rockhole, plus a cultural art experience which will include dot painting class. We then rejoin the Red Centre Way, stopping for a picnic lunch as we travel along the Mereenie Loop road. Tonight’s destination is Kings Creek Station. Tonight enjoy dinner at the camp, under a blanket of stars!

Day 2: Kings Creek to Yulara
It’s an early rise this morning to get the most out of our visit to Watarrka National Park and Kings Canyon. There’s no rush as we hike around the canyon rim viewing sites like the “Lost City” and the “Garden of Eden”. After lunch we travel on to Yulara and well known Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. We’ll enter the park and visit the Cultural Centre to learn about this ancient rock formation, the local culture and history of the park. Tonight you’ll enjoy champagne as the sun sets over Uluru - a truly spiritual and magical experience before returning to our Ayers Rock Campground for dinner.

Day 3: Yulara to Kata Tjuta and Uluru
It’s an early rise for an amazing experience – sunrise over Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). This site has been sacred to the aboriginal people since time began and figures prominently in their legends about the Dreaming, the time of creation. After sunrise you’ll explore Walpa Gorge, walking between the domes that make up Kata Tjuta. We’ll then travel back to Ayers Rock Resort for a lunch break before re-entering Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park for a basewalk (not climb due to respect of the elders wishes) of Uluru at sunset. Tonight feast at a unique Gourmet Aussie BBQ Dinner within the national park, watching night fall on Uluru. After dinner learn about the Milky Way and the galaxy of stars that blanket the night sky.

Day 4: Yulara to Alice Springs

On the famous Liru Walk you will retrace the path of the Liru Ancestors through the bushland near Uluru, and learn more about the local aboriginal people and their culture. We then say goodbye to this amazing place and make tracks back to Alice Springs. We’ll stop at Mt Ebenezer for lunch along our journey, before returning to Alice Springs.
